What do I need to start broadcasting with Flash Media Server?

Before you start broadcasting, you will need the following:
  - Adobe’s Flash Media Encoder.
  - A Flash Media Server plan from Primcast. You can view our plans here.
  - A high speed Internet connection. Cable or DSL should be sufficient if you’re broadcasting up to 384kbps.
  - An Audio or Video Source, depending on the content you plan to broadcast.

My content is not currently in FLV format. Can I still broadcast using Flash Media Server?

Absolutely, just use Riva FLV Encoder to convert your content, before you start your broadcast.

How do I get the Flash Player onto my website?

As soon as you have your Primcast account settings, you can use our embedded code generator to generate the code for your player.

Will my server have a static IP?

Yes, all Primcast accounts have static IP’s.
