Virtual DNS Servers
Virtual Domain Name Servers are now available on all Virtual Dedicated (VDS) Servers. The Virtual DNS System was developed by Primcast and is far superior to the DNS "aliases" offered by other providers. Primcast is the only provider in the industry to give our clients access to true Virtual DNS Servers.
Primcast vDNS Servers give you the ability to register and provide name service for as many domains as you like using your own name servers (NS1&NS2.YourName.com).
You will have complete control over your own DNS, including the ability to carry out immediate updates to your own domain zone files, the freedom to add sub-domains and mx records and the ability to re-point your domains in an instant with only a few simple commands.
The Primcast range of Virtual Dedicated (VDS) Servers are the only Virtual Servers in the world to offer this unique feature.
The vDNS Servers will not only support .com, .net and .org names all other worldwide domains such as .au, .uk, .nz, .de, .br, .es, .fr, etc.
vDNS Servers are available as an add-on to all of the Primcast Virtual Servers or on a stand-alone basis.
A "stand-alone" basis means that you have the vDNS Servers only (NS1&2.YourName.com) and they are not an add-on to an existing or future Virtual Server you have with us.
The vDNS can be used to create an unlimited number of sub-domains (ie: http://subdomain.yourdomain.com) under any of the domains you host and it will still only count as one domain towards the capacity of your vDNS.
