What each dedicated server includes
The smallest server and the largest one come with the same things. Here is what you get for the monthly price, and what costs extra, so nothing on your invoice is a surprise.
In the price
- The whole machine. All of its cores, memory and disks are yours, with no other customer on the hardware.
- Root or Administrator access, so you install and configure whatever your job needs.
- An unmetered port. There is no transfer allowance, so there is nothing to run over and no overage charge.
- Out-of-band console access: the screen and the power button, even when the system refuses to start.
- Reinstall the operating system yourself in the control panel, any number of times, with no ticket to open.
- One IPv4 address, and IPv6 at no charge.
- Basic support, the first row of the support table.
Extra, or not sold
- Running your software for you. You manage the server; we keep the hardware and the network running.
- A faster support response, sold as a monthly line you can add, change or drop.
- More IPv4 addresses, priced per server on the order page.
- A one-time setup fee on custom builds and on the entry cartridge. Any other ready server, ordered exactly as listed, has none.
- DDoS protection. We do not sell it.

02Your first month
A month with a dedicated server, step by step
From the order to the end of the first month, in the order things happen. Pick a server, memory or addresses in a step and the invoice beside it changes, using the same prices the order form charges.

Pay by card, PayPal, bank transfer or crypto. There is nothing to sign, no minimum term and no sales call. The order page lists the cities each server runs in, so pick the one closest to the people who will use it.

Ready servers are already racked, powered and cabled. Your chosen operating system goes on, and the login details arrive by email.
The clock starts once the payment is approved, after our payment and fraud checks. Those checks are the one wait we cannot put a number on, and an order held for an identity check waits longest.

You reinstall it, as often as you need
Most people install the wrong thing first. Reinstall from the control panel, pick a different operating system and start clean, as many times as you like. A reinstall takes about ten minutes.

A firewall rule or a network change goes wrong and SSH stops answering. The out-of-band console still works: it gives you the screen and the power button without waiting for us.

A disk fails at three in the morning
Basic support comes with every server, and for many jobs it is enough. If yours needs a faster answer and a faster hardware swap, most servers offer higher tiers, listed in the support table. Each one is a monthly line you can change or drop.

A post gets shared, and you move far more data than you planned for. With many hosts, this is the month you find out what bandwidth costs.
Here, nothing changes. The port is unmetered. You have no allowance to exceed, and the invoice is the one you expected.

It is month to month: cancel, upgrade or move to a bigger server whenever you like. Committing to a longer term, or paying several months ahead, earns a discount; both are in the billing tables. Neither is required, because we would rather you stay for a server that works.

These tables are read from the order form, so they match what you see at checkout. Every server comes with Basic support. Faster tiers start at $9 a month and cost more on the larger servers; a dash means that server does not offer the tier. No contract is required: the shortest term is one month.

Questions people ask before renting a dedicated server
01What is a dedicated server, and when do I need one?
It is a physical computer rented to a single customer. Nobody else shares its processor, memory, disks or network port, so its speed does not depend on what other people are doing. You need one when a shared or virtual server keeps running out of resources, when you want full control of the hardware and the operating system, or when you move a lot of data and do not want to pay for it by the gigabyte.
02What does a dedicated server cost per month?
Our dedicated servers start at $9 a month, and that buys a whole machine, not a share of one. Every card above shows the starting price of that server, which is what the order form charges. Extra memory, extra IPv4 addresses and a faster support tier are priced per server, and the walkthrough shows the real figures for the one you pick.
03Can I get an instant dedicated server?
Close to it. A ready server reaches you within 30 minutes of the payment being approved, because it is already racked and cabled and only the operating system goes on. An identity check before approval is the one thing that can slow an order down. A server built to your own specification takes hours rather than minutes.
04Do you have the Xeon E5-2630L v3 in a dedicated server?
Yes. The Intel Xeon E5-2630L v3 is one of the processor options on our two-processor Xeon E5 server. It has 8 cores at 1.8 GHz, so a server with two of them gives you 16 cores. Choose it on that server's order page, or read more on the enterprise dedicated server page.
05How many cores can I get: 4, 6, 16 or more?
Every card above lists the core count and clock speed of that server. The single-processor cartridges are the small end. The two-processor servers run Xeon, Opteron or EPYC chips. The largest is a build to order with two 64-core AMD EPYC processors, 128 cores in one machine: see AMD dedicated servers. 06Is the bandwidth really unmetered? Can I get 10, 25 or 100 Gbps?
Yes, on every server, the cheapest included. There is no transfer allowance, so there is nothing to go over and no overage line. Faster ports are a flat monthly upgrade in steps up to 10, 20, 40 and 100 Gbps; the biggest steps are sold on fewer servers. There is no 25 Gbps step, so a 25 Gbps job goes on a 40 Gbps port. 07Is the server managed?
Not by default. We look after the hardware and the network; the software is yours to run. Basic support comes with every server. Faster response tiers start at $9 a month, priced per server in the support table above. Our chat is answered first by an AI assistant, within seconds, and it can check the details of your account and server for you. If you would rather talk to a person, say so, and one of us joins the chat.
08Do I sign a contract or pay a setup fee?
There is no contract. You pay monthly and can cancel or upgrade when any month ends, and committing to a longer term or paying several months ahead earns the discounts in the billing tables. Take a ready server exactly as listed and you pay nothing to set it up; only the entry cartridge has a small one-time fee of its own. Ask for different hardware and we treat the order as a custom build, which costs a one-time $29 to set up. Whichever applies is shown before you pay and never comes back on a later invoice.
09Which operating systems can I run on it?
You choose at checkout and can reinstall from the control panel at any time, free. The two-processor servers offer more than thirty images, up to Debian 13, Ubuntu 26.04, AlmaLinux 10, Windows Server 2025 and Proxmox VE 9. The exact list for each server is on its order page.
10What if my server stops responding?
You get in through the out-of-band console, which gives you the screen and the power button without waiting for us. Every server has it, from the cheapest to the largest.
11Where are your data centers?
We run servers in five cities: Bucharest, Amsterdam, Miami, New York and San Francisco. Not every server runs in every city, so each card lists where that one is available. Pick the city closest to the people who will use the server.
12How can I pay?
By credit card, PayPal, bank transfer or cryptocurrency. Crypto matters to many of our customers, because paying a US company by card is not easy everywhere.
13Who runs Primcast?
We have been hosting servers since 2004, from New York. The servers on this page are our own hardware in our own racks, not capacity resold from another company.
